Add-on to Kentucky Newsletter #2: UK vs Kansas
Addendum to Newsletter #2: Briscoe's impact on UK/Kansas
I realized after I'd sent out the previous UK newsletter that I completely forgot to include some key data to make my point that Isaiah Briscoe was the key to the game. Not only did Briscoe help keep turnovers down and ignite fast breaks, but UK actually outscored Kansas by a comfortable margin when Isaiah Briscoe was in the game.
Here's the data:
UK outscored Kansas with Briscoe in the game, on the strength of the better shooting and reduced turnovers I mentioned in my previous newsletter. Kansas didn't shoot any better with Briscoe out, and turned the ball over more often with him out of the game, but that didn't help UK much.
That's all I wanted to add...my apologies for two emails in 1 day.
