Info on COVID-19, because that’s important right now
As I write this, I don’t know if any more college basketball games will be played this season. It doesn’t seem safe to be gathering lots of people together when we’ve got a disease that spreads like wildfire, hospitalizes up to 20% of victims, and is particularly deadly to the elderly and immuno-compromised.
Instead of writing about college basketball, I wanted to use this forum to make sure people have access to information from professionals so they can understand what is going on.
This is the best analysis I’ve read around the true nature of COVID-19 and it’s spread, and what measures have helped control it: https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-act-today-or-people-will-die-f4d3d9cd99ca
Here’s an op-ed from one of the country’s leading experts on infectious disease: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/03/11/opinion/interventions-we-must-take-control-coronavirus/
Many media outlets have made their COVID-19 coverage free:

LA Times: https://www.latimes.com/california/liveblog/coronavirus-live-updates
Please everyone, stay safe and be cautious to stop this from becoming a massive disaster. Hopefully college basketball will continue to serve as a distraction, but there’s no guarantee of that. Let’s all protect each other.
